OVERVIEWRoot-Rise Agribusiness supplies agricultural products and affordable irrigation solutions to farmers. The company is looking for a reliable, committed, and self-motivated Sales and Marketing Intern to support its daily business operations.The successful candidate should be ready to work, learn quickly, take responsibility, and contribute to the growth of the business.JOB TYPE: InternshipWORK LOCATION: On-site, MzuzuWORKING HOURS: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on agreed working daysAPPLICATION DEADLINE: 23 October 2026POSITION: SALES AND MARKETING INTERNKEY REQUIREMENTSAcademic Qualifications and Experience:The applicant should possess the following:A Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Irrigation, or a relevant qualification.Experience in sales, marketing, agribusiness, or office administration will be an added advantage.Personal Specification:Good communication and customer service skills.Basic computer skills and the ability to use a smartphone, WhatsApp, and other digital tools.Willingness to learn new systems and agricultural products.Honesty, punctuality, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.Ability to work independently.Commitment to accurate record-keeping and reliable customer service.DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAttend to walk-in customers, answer telephone calls, and respond to customer enquiries.Follow up on sales leads, quotations, and prospective customers.Accurately record sales, expenses, customer payments, and stock movements in the company's system.Help monitor stock and ensure all business transactions are properly documented.Support marketing activities, product promotion, and customer follow-ups.Prepare daily activity reports and weekly sales and customer follow-up reports.Maintain a professional working environment and ensure customers receive reliable service.WORKING CONDITIONSThe successful candidate must be available to work on-site in Mzuzu from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on agreed working days.The position requires consistent physical presence at the office, active customer engagement, and accurate record-keeping.Any opportunity for continued employment will depend on performance, business needs, and the applicable employment arrangements.HOW TO APPLYInterested candidates should send the following documents to: rootriseagribusiness@gmail.com:An updated CV.A short application letter explaining why they are suitable for the position.Application Deadline: 23 October 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
