Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe's Ferrochrome Production, has an exciting, and challenging career opportunity at its Kwekwe Division.Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the following performance: -position of SHE Officer on a Fixed Term employment contract basis, renewable subject toSAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Coordinate and implement Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) activities, including enforcement of compliance to the organisation's SHE Management System Review and implement SHE procedures, standards and legal requirementsImplement agreed Safety and Environmental procedures and standards and mitigate impacts of emergencies when they ariseConducting safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, job observations SHE training, inductions and awareness programmes in compliance with SHE System procedures and standards and generating relevant reports and follow-up action plansMaintain the Division's SHE database and records and ensure SHE permits, licences and statutory

• Monitor contractor compliance with contractual SHE obligations and applicable legislation

Qualifications

and Experience MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
• Professional SHE qualification such as NEBOSH, SAMTRAC or equivalent will be an added advantage.At least five years post qualification relevant SHE experience, preferably in mining, contracting orheavy industry
• Sound knowledge of SHE legislation, risk management, incident investigation and auditing with NOSA SHE System and exposure a distinct advantageESG Certification an added advantage
