VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ ADOLESCENT GIRLS LITERACY PLUS POSITION: RESOURCE MOBILIZATION OFFICER Location: Chikwawa BACKGROUND Adolescent Girls Literacy Plus (AGLIT+) is a registered Malawian non-governmental organization established in 1996 to improve the lives of adolescents through functional literacy, education, health, livelihoods and community development programmes. Since its establishment, AGLIT+ has expanded its reach from Chikwawa District to several districts across Malawi, benefiting more than 32,000 adolescent girls and boys.With funding from the Tilitonse Foundation in partnership with Comic Relief and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom (UK Aid), AGLIT+ is implementing the Capacity for Sustainable Growth and Action for Adolescents project. The project is aimed at strengthening AGLIT+’s institutional capacity, systems and sustainability to enhance its ability to deliver impactful, community-led programmes for adolescents. Through this support, AGLIT+ has expanded its functional literacy programme to Nsanje District while strengthening its organizational structures, partnerships and programme delivery approaches to achieve long-term impact.To support the implementation of the project and strengthen the organization's institutional capacity, AGLIT+ invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and self-motivated individuals to fill the following positions based in Chikwawa District. AGLIT+ is seeking an innovative and results-oriented Resource Mobilization Officer to support the organization’s sustainability through strategic fundraising, partnership development and resource acquisition. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, developing quality proposals and strengthening relationships with donors and partners.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Identify and research potential funding opportunities, including grants and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors and partners.
  • Prepare high-quality concept notes, funding proposals and donor reports.
  • Work closely with programme teams to align funding opportunities with project needs and priorities.
  • Maintain a funding pipeline and monitor donor trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Represent the organization in relevant networking and partnership forums.Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, Communications or a related field.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in fundraising, grant writing, business development or partnership management, preferably within the NGO or development sector.
  • Strong proposal writing, analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent networking, negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for social impact.________________________________________Terms of Employment
