Mother Amadea Mission Hospital is seeking a qualified and motivated Radiographer (Diagnostic Imaging) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality, safe and accurate images to support patient care and clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including General X-ray examinations.
- All ultrasound scanning procedures.
- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures and explain examinations clearly.
- Ensure radiation safety and compliance with KNRA guidelines.
- Operate, maintain, and care for radiographic equipment.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation.
- Observe infection prevention and control measures at all times.
- Work closely with clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify equipment faults and report promptly to management.
- Participate in on-call duties, emergencies, and night shifts as required.
- Uphold confidentiality, ethics, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Medical Imaging (Radiography) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KNRA).
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a busy hospital or imaging facility.
- Strong knowledge of radiation protection and patient safety.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and night shifts.
