Company: Unik Construction Engineering (M) LtdProject: Periodic Maintenance/Rehabilitation of Golomoti-Monkey Bay/Mtakataka Turnoff (M10) Road to Bitumen Standard (30km Lot 1)Location: Mangochi District, Malawi (site based)Contract Duration: 18 months (project based)Report to: Project ManagerKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly interim payment applications (IPC) in accordance with the Contract, with accurate measurements agreed with the Engineer’s site team;Maintain the priced Bill of Quantities, track and record monthly quantities and valuations;Prepare and value variations and cost adjustments;Administer provisional sums, authorized compensation and dayworks in line with the Particular Specifications;Compute price adjustment claims using the contract adjustment formula and coefficients;Support preparation, evaluation and substantiation of claims (e.g. haulage distance, unforeseeable conditions);Monitor project cost performance, prepare cash-flow forecasts and cost reports for the Chief Quantity Surveyor;Maintain complete, auditable measurement and costing records as required under the Contract;Liaise with the Engineer (Consultant) on joint measurements, site meetings and commercial correspondence.
