## Job Description

Engineering Jobs. KEDA Kenya Ceramics Jobs. Quality Officer inspecting engineering, fabrication and installation works to ensure conformance to approved drawings and quality standards, requiring a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering, 2-4 years quality control or manufacturing experience and AutoCAD proficiency, in a ceramics manufacturing environment, on-site role.

Job Purpose

- To ensure that engineering works, fabrication, installations, and maintenance activities meet approved engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.

### Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspections of engineering, fabrication, installation, and maintenance works.

- Review and interpret CAD/AutoCAD drawings and verify that completed works conform to approved designs and specifications.

- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of machinery, fabricated components, and engineering works.

- Identify, document, and follow up on defects and non-conformities.

- Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

- Inspect engineering materials, components, and spare parts against approved specifications.

- Ensure the latest approved drawings and specifications are used during engineering works.

- Work closely with engineers, technicians, contractors, and other departments to resolve quality issues.

- Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

- Maintain accurate quality records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 2–4 years of experience in quality control, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, or a related environment.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD software is required.

- Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and documentation.

- Strong attention to detail, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams.
