Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Hospital-wide development, review, and implementation of quality and patient safety policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
- Interpretation and operationalisation of quality frameworks within complex clinical environments
- Leadership of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for sentinel events and adverse clinical outcomes
- Design, analysis, and presentation of clinical quality, safety, and utilisation data to inform decision-making
- Coordination of corrective and preventive action plans arising from audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews
- Leadership of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives within the Medical Division
- Active participation in JCI accreditation, including role as JCI Survey Coordinator
- Implementation support for ISO standards, AMUA, and KAIZEN methodologies
- Risk assessment, risk mitigation, and enterprise risk management collaboration
- Mentorship and capability building for clinicians and departmental teams on quality improvement methodologies
- Participation in benchmarking, innovation, and quality improvement research
Qualifications
- Medical or clinical degree (mandatory), with strong grounding in clinical care delivery
- Postgraduate qualification in health, business, or management (distinct advantage)
- Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience within a hospital or healthcare institution
- Strong command of clinical governance, patient safety, and quality systems
- Demonstrated capability in data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring
- Confidence working with senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to translate standards into practical, sustainable clinical improvements
- High integrity, discipline, and systems-thinking mindset
