Job Summary
Reports to Strategic Information Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of data quality control, assurance, conducting mentorships and training on all data collection, documentation and reporting activities in TB LON supported sites.
Main Duties
- Generates documentation of all Standard Operating Procedures and User Manuals for all data processes associated with the project
- Trains/Orients Health facility staff on documentation of registers/source documents
- Trains/Orients Health facility and data staff on the population of electronic tools
- Ensures that documentation of source documents is up to date and provide data quality reports to the provincial, district and health facility staff
- Monitors reporting rates and provides feedback to Health facility staff on reporting shortfalls in good time before the reporting cycle concludes
- Runs missing data reports and provide feedback to health facility staff on the data gaps and conduct the necessary follow up to improve data quality
- Coordinates IPs supporting TB electronic tools in the province
- Trains new staff on data collection and entry procedures and common errors/problems within the clinic and at other sites as requested
- Ensures all SOPs and user manual documentation is up to date
- Tracks all key data staff at the health facility with the province and ensure that the Contact directory is updated at least weekly to keep up to date with staff turnover
Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum Higher Diploma in Information Management/Computer Science, Monitoring and Evaluation or related field; a bachelor’s degree is an added advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in data quality management and data collection
- Experience working in a health setting environment involving HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment
- Good management and co-ordination skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit
- Passionate about health-service delivery, and a desire to end the suffering of those affected by TB disease.
- Ability to meet deadlines, and pays attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
