PSI Malawi is recruiting highly motivated and qualified individuals for the following position:Position: Project Coordinator (2)Department: ProgramsGrade: D5Reports to: Program Manager with Dotted lines to the Technical Advisor, ProgramsJob Summary: The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities to ensure the timely delivery of project objectives and results.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of project activities in line with approved work plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new information.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, activity trackers, and implementation plans.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate logistics for project activities, including meetings, trainings, workshops, field visits, and stakeholder engagements.
- Participate in project design meetings.
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings and ensure timely dissemination of meeting materials.
- Follow up on action items agreed during meetings and track their completion.
- Collect, compile, and verify project implementation data from partners and field teams.
- Maintain project documentation, records, and databases to ensure accurate project reporting.
- Track project indicators and support monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Support district teams with implementation of quality improvement activities.
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices from project implementation.
- Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Public Health, Project Management, Nursing, or any other health related field. Those with Project Management certificate will have an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years of project coordination experience.
- Successfully coordinated any SRHR project activities, resulting in high results for the project(s).
- Experience with donor-funded programs such as USAID, FCDO, Global Fund, UNFPA, World Bank, KfW, or similar.
- Experience in managing partnership including government ministries.
- Experience in general project documentation and report writing.
