The role requires a strong understanding of the tourism industry in Malawi and Southern Africa, alongside the ability to turn travel opportunities into well-structured, marketable, and profitable products.KEY REQUIREMENTSAcademic, Professional Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants must meet the following requirements:Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Travel and Tourism Management, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.Have at least three (3) years of relevant experience in tourism, travel, hospitality, product management, sales, or business development.Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into viable products.Possess excellent negotiation, communication, planning, and relationship-management skills.Have strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.Be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.ADDED ADVANTAGEExperience in developing, costing, coordinating, or selling tour packages through any of the following will be an added advantage:Travel agencies.Tour operators.Destination management companies.Hospitality businesses.DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Product Development and ManagementDevelop and manage tours and travel packages from concept to launch.Identify suitable travel experiences and combine relevant services to create attractive packages.Coordinate accommodation, transport, activities, flights, and other travel-related services.Ensure that packages meet customer needs and are commercially viable.2. Supplier and Partner ManagementIdentify suitable hotels, transport providers, tour operators, and other tourism partners.Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers.Build and maintain strong working relationships with tourism service providers.Coordinate suppliers to support the smooth delivery of travel packages.3. Pricing and Commercial PerformanceDevelop package costing and pricing structures.Ensure prices remain competitive while supporting profitability and revenue growth.Assess the commercial viability of proposed travel products.Identify opportunities to improve product value and financial performance.4. Sales and Market GrowthActively drive bookings and sales for Kwenda's tours and travel packages.Identify new market opportunities and potential customer segments.Develop strategies to increase demand for travel products.Support business growth by turning travel opportunities into marketable offers.5.
