VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ BLANTYRE CITY COUNCIL POSITION: PRINCIPAL INTERNAL AUDITOR Location: BlantyreOVERVIEW The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitable qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant positions existing at BLANTYRE CITY COUNCILPOST: Principal Internal AuditorGRADE: M4/GSALARY: In line with Terms and Conditions of Blantyre City CouncilQUALIFICATIONSApplicants must be in possession of Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Applied Accounting, Auditing and Information Systems and should have Four (4) years’ experience. Applicants must be registered members with Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA.DUTIES:Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services. the Principal Internal Auditor will be responsible for the following:Supervising internal audit staffPlanning, organizing, directing and controlling internal audit assignments.Liaising with the Human Resource section with regard to training programs for the audit staffChecking systems and audit transactions to ensure that they comply with international standardsProduce annual risk profiles and suggest control measuresProducing monthly and quarterly reports on all audit assignments carried out.MODE OF APPLICATIONInterested applicants who meet the requirements should submit their applications together with a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), Photocopies of relevant certificates and National Identity Card.Application should be clearly labelled on the envelope the position being applied for and addressed to; NOT LATER THAN 12TH SEPTEMBER, 2026.The Executive Secretary,Local Government Service Commission,P.O.
