Reporting to the Nursing and Midwifery Unit Manager, the Patient Attendant will provide basic assistance to patients in order to maintain their safety and care.KEY REQUIREMENTS Must have a good Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) A Certificate in customer care/service will be an added advantage At least 1 (one) year experience working in a hospital environmentRequisite Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Good command of English and fluency in other Malawian local languages Must be a self-starter, pro-active and honest Must be willing to work odd hours Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervisionKEY RESPONSIBILITIES➤ To assist with bed bath, pressure area care and bedmaking➤ To clean and disinfect linen, equipment and instruments➤ To assist and maintain general cleanliness of the unit➤ To participate in ward linen management and inventory➤ To assist in feeding patients➤ To assist in wound dressing➤ To ensure that all basic nursing interventions done are reported and documented➤ To assist in wheeling patients to and from radiology/wardsHOW TO APPLYInterested and qualifying candidates should submit their application, indicating expected gross salary, enclosing a detailed Curriculum Vitae with names and contacts of at least three credible referees and active e-mail addresses, and copies of relevant certificates by Friday, 9th October, 2026 to:The Chief Executive OfficerMwaiwathu Private Hospital LimitedP.
