Logistics Jobs, AGL Jobs. Responsible for supervising fleet planners, coordinating daily transport operations, reviewing vehicle allocation and schedules, monitoring fleet utilisation and driver productivity, managing operational disruptions, coordinating driver deployment, resolving customer and operational issues, and preparing performance reports. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field. The position is based in Nairobi and requires full-time on-site work.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Manage operations by ensuring activities and projects are smoothly implemented and timely executed as per clients’ request/KPIs, Bolloré SOP and target budgets.
- Serve as the point of contact for client on all contractual/commercial matters.
- Liaise with relevant contractors/departments to ensure Legal, Security and QHSE controls are always in place to minimize risk. Implement and embed industry best practices.
- Develop and execute cost saving strategies that achieve improved financial performance.
- Manage operations PNL.
- Achieve monthly and annual budget and OR targets. Ensure client accounts are timely and accurately invoiced and any outstanding amounts are collected on time.
- Ensure the required SOP’s are up to date and implemented across operations.
- Ensure all operations and activities are conducted as per the Bolloré Code of Business Conduct, Compliance and Controls Standards and to ensure satisfactory rating is achieved in all internal, external and client-based audits.
Planning
- Plan and manage operations resources by reviewing daily/weekly production plan from client.
- Conduct KPI meetings with client to identify issues, new requirements, pricing discussions, and obtain senior management input on timelines and deliverables.
Reporting
- Prepare, agreed and defined periodic reports and submit to management
- Analyze and monitor operations KPIs and reporting and drive continuous improvement action plans monthly that will be shared with client.
Qualifications
- Degree in Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- 3 years’ experience in supply chain or a related field
