Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group; a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF).DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESConduct patient case management (i.e., consultation, prescribing and dispensing of medication), where appropriate and in line with stipulated country regulations.Provide nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients.Create, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team.Conduct antenatal assessments, monitoring foetal well-being and manage complications as they arise in line with midwifery best practice.Manage the intrapartum period, including conducting deliveries, managing pain and providing emotional support to parents.Conduct post-natal assessments, monitor new-born babies for signs of distress, and provide support and education to new parents.Conduct nursing procedures such as phlebotomy, IV cannula insertion, catheterization, wound dressing, oral and parenteral drug administration.Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols.Triage, emergency and critical care for patients accessing care at the facility.Promoting and adhering to Illovo's procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to HSE, Competitive Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).JOB REQUIREMENTSDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Midwifery.Registration with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (NMCM).Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.Basic computer proficiency/literacy.Clinical skills and knowledge of best practice in nursing and midwifery care.Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time efficiently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.HOW TO APPLYPlease send your application letters together with detailed CV with copies of relevant certificates, traceable referees and National ID to:The HR Mill HeadIllovo Sugar (Malawi) plc,P.O Box 46,Dwangwa.E-mail: DwangwaCorporateMail@illovo.co.zaClosing date for receiving application letters is 19th October 2026 and only shortlisted candidates will be acknowledged.Illovo is an equal opportunity employer, and women are encouraged to apply
