We are looking for energetic, disciplined, reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our team. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working in busy, structured restaurant environments such as KFC, Hungry Lion, Nando’s, Debonairs, Steers, Pizza Hut or similar QSR/restaurant businesses, where food safety, portion control, recipes and SOPs are followed consistently. ### AVAILABLE POSITIONS ### 1. SHOP ASSISTANT – 1 POSITION Preferably a LADY Minimum Experience: 1 Year The Shop Assistant will primarily be responsible for sales and customer service, while also supporting the kitchen and general shop operations. ### Key Responsibilities - Welcome and assist customers professionally. - Take customer orders accurately. - Handle sales and customer payments responsibly. - Assist with order packing and serving customers. - Maintain excellent customer service standards. - Communicate customer orders accurately to the kitchen. - Check completed orders before handing them to customers. - Assist with basic food preparation when required. - Assist kitchen staff during busy periods. - Keep the counter, dining/service area and shop clean and organised. - Assist with opening, restocking and closing duties. - Monitor basic stock levels and report shortages. - Handle customer questions and complaints professionally. - Follow company policies, hygiene requirements and SOPs. - Minimise wastage and ensure products are handled appropriately. Ideal Candidate: Friendly, presentable, honest, confident with customers, numerate, organised and able to work under pressure. ### 2. KITCHEN ASSISTANT – 2 POSITIONS Minimum Experience: 2 Years The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of Spud & Stack products, including: πŸ” Burgers 🍟 Chips / Fries πŸ₯© Cheesebeef πŸ§€ Mac & Cheese with Chicken πŸ— Chicken preparation and cooking πŸ₯” Chips Mayai 🍟 Loaded Fries ### Key Responsibilities - Prepare and cook food according to company recipes and SOPs. - Prepare burgers and operate the burger/make-line station. - Prepare chips/fries and operate deep fryers safely. - Prepare cheesebeef products. - Prepare mac & cheese with chicken. - Prepare and cook chicken products. - Prepare Chips Mayai according to company standards. - Prepare loaded fries and toppings. - Prepare meat, chicken, vegetables, sauces and other ingredients. - Maintain correct portion sizes and presentation standards. - Operate grills, griddles, fryers and other kitchen equipment safely. - Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times. - Follow stock rotation, labelling, storage and temperature-control procedures. - Maintain a clean and organised workstation. - Complete opening, restocking and closing duties. - Work quickly and accurately during busy service periods. - Coordinate orders with other kitchen stations. - Assist other stations when they become busy. - Minimise food wastage. - Report stock shortages, equipment problems or food-quality issues to management. - Carry out other reasonable kitchen duties assigned by management. ### Experience in the following will be an advantage: - Commercial grilling - Flat-top/griddle cooking - Deep frying - Chicken preparation - Meat preparation - Burger production - Chips Mayai - Loaded fries - Mac & cheese preparation - Kitchen order coordination - Food safety and hygiene ### 3. SHAWARMA ASSISTANT – 1 POSITION Minimum Experience: 2 Years The Shawarma Assistant will be responsible for supporting the preparation and production of Spud & Stack shawarma products while maintaining consistency, speed and hygiene. ### Key Responsibilities - Prepare shawarma ingredients before service. - Assist with chicken/meat preparation and seasoning. - Operate and monitor the shawarma station safely. - Slice shawarma meat appropriately. - Prepare vegetables, sauces and toppings. - Assemble shawarma wraps and platters according to company standards. - Maintain correct portion sizes. - Ensure orders are prepared accurately and presented properly. - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the shawarma station. - Follow food safety, storage and temperature-control procedures. - Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages. - Work efficiently during busy periods. - Coordinate with other kitchen stations to ensure orders are completed on time. - Minimise food wastage. - Assist other kitchen staff when required.
