Job description
Engineering Jobs. Metro Concepts Jobs. Mould Technician setting up, operating and monitoring moulding machines for PVC pipe and fitting production and performing mould repairs and maintenance, requiring a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering and skills in CNC machining, welding, CAD/CAM, lathe and milling machines, in a plastic manufacturing environment, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor moulding machines for PVC plastic pipe and fitting production, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections, diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, conduct minor repairs and adjustments to moulds.
- Maintain accurate production records, adhere to safety and quality procedures.
- Collaborate with teams to meet daily output targets, participate in continuous improvement, support preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure finished products meet required specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Critical skills include: CNC Machining, Welding, CAD/CAM software usage, Lathe, Milling machines, Grinders.
- Understanding of factory safety regulations & proper equipment operation.
