VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ Islamic Health Association of Malawi (IHAM)POSITION: MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVERDuty Station: Mama Khadija Health Centre, MangochiSalary: Grade N Salary SegmentABOUT THE ROLEThe Islamic Health Association of Malawi (IHAM) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Motor Vehicle Driver at Mama Khadija Health Centre in Mangochi.The successful candidate will provide safe, reliable and timely transportation services, including transporting patients, medical supplies, equipment and authorised personnel.REQUIREMENTS* Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).* Valid driving licence.* At least three (3) years of progressive driving experience.* Must have no previous convictions relating to traffic offences.* Defensive Driving Certification will be an added advantage.* Mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability and willingness to work long hours.* Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Transport patients requiring referrals to the District Hospital.* Respond promptly to patient transportation requests, including emergency referrals.* Handle patients' belongings and medical equipment with care.* Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their privacy.* Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.* Report accidents, mechanical faults and unusual vehicle noises to the supervisor.* Assist with the delivery and collection of official correspondence and documents.HOW TO APPLYInterested candidates should submit the following:* Covering letter explaining their suitability for the position.* Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).* Certified copies of relevant certificates.* Valid mobile phone numbers.* Names and addresses of three traceable referees, including one from the most recent employer.Applications should be sent to:Email: recruitment@iham.org.mwDeadline: 14th November 2026For more job opportunities in Malawi, follow Malawi Job Vacancies.
