## Job Description

OVERVIEWChief's Ministry is seeking a Ministry Resource Mobilization Officer to lead fundraising and resource mobilization efforts. The successful candidate will identify funding opportunities, conduct donor mapping, develop quality project and funding proposals, build relationships with donors, and monitor grant reporting and expenditure deadlines.Application Deadline: Monday, 31st October 2026POSITION: MINISTRY RESOURCE MOBILIZATION OFFICERJOB TYPE: Full TimeKEY REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Project Management, Community and Local Development, Public Administration, or a related discipline.At least 5 years of hands-on experience in similar roles.Strong proposal writing, analytical, and communication skills.Excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship management skills.Solid understanding of development issues.Ability to analyze and synthesize information effectively.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTake the lead in identifying funding opportunities locally, listing them and sharing the information with the Coordinator.Conduct necessary donor mapping and reporting, undertake internet and other research, and build contacts with potential individual donors.Develop relationships with various donors, public or private, institutional or individual, member churches or organizations.Mobilize financial and non-financial resources from private sector entities, individuals and public agencies, including Churches.Develop quality project and funding proposals for potential and prospective donors.Coordinate processing of agreements in connection with funding opportunities and ensure effective and timely follow-up on submission of reports to donors and grant renewal proposals.Monitor donor reporting and grant expenditure deadlines while participating in the preparation of quality financial and narrative reports to partners and donors.Monitor and maintain the proposal pipeline and generate monthly reports for management's strategic decisions.In collaboration with the Communications Team, engage in organizational brand building, including development of collateral materials to support fundraising efforts.Ensure that fundraising and resource mobilization information is up to date and available for use by the Board.Develop persuasive and innovative cases for support and implement a strategic donor communication plan for donor acquisition and retention.Carry out in-depth reviews of unsuccessful proposals to identify reasons and lessons learned.Research and strategically monitor fundraising trends, activities and practices with existing and potential partners and donors.Maintain communication with donors and respond to their inquiries about the work of MOHI.Develop and monitor work plans and budgets related to operational and logistical issues pertaining to MOHI's fundraising projects.Perform any other duty as may be assigned or delegated by the Country Coordinator.HOW TO APPLYAll interested applicants with the required qualifications and experience should submit their applications, enclosing a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), copies of certificates, contact details, and three traceable referees with their phone contact details to:The Country CoordinatorChief's MinistryP.O.
