Job description

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the MHEs (Reach truck and Forklift) safely within the warehouse and the yard storage areas
• Stack and retrieve pallets at various heights according to warehouse procedure
• Accurately pick, put away, and replenish stocks as directed
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any defects
• Ensure proper stacking and walkways are maintained-pallet dimensions, stacks and strapping are accurately practiced
• Recording, in the register, of any incidents & accidents in the warehouse and report
• Observe safe work practice
• Ensure forklift movement within the yard is safely done
• Ensure EHS policies are adhered to Ensure assets are used appropriately i.e. forklifts
• Report, escalate and ensure Forklift are in good working condition .

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)
• Forklift certificate training
• Reach Truck certificate Training
• Plant Machine Permit class G.
• Forklift training (LOADS)
