Job description

Medical Jobs, Kabarak University Jobs. Responsible for assessing patients, conducting investigations, prescribing appropriate treatment, monitoring and following up admitted patients, referring patients to specialists when necessary, and providing medical support during nights, weekends, and public holidays. Requires a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent qualification, registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), a valid practising licence, and valid ACLS, ATLS, or equivalent certification. The position is based in Nakuru County and requires on-site work

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment, investigations and prescription of treatment of patients and follow ups for admitted patients
  • Patient referral to appropriate specialist as may be required
  • Available on call at night,working during weekends and public holidays as well as following up the patients who are admitted
  • Any other duty assigmed by the Senior Medical officer or University Authority

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a busy Hospital will be an added advantage
  • Registered with KMPDC with a valid practice license
  • ACLS & ATLS or equivalent training with valid certification
  • Computer Proficiency.
