Project Management Jobs. SRHR Alliance Jobs. MEAL Officer conducting outcome measurement and data analysis for the SRHR Next programme and supporting partner capacity in MEAL strategies, requiring a bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies or Statistics and 2-5 years MEAL or PMEL experience with Kobo Toolbox, ODK or CommCare skills, in an NGO SRHR environment, on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

• In collaboration with partner organizations, conduct outcome measurement and other MEAL assignments for the SRHR Next programme.
• Develop a strategy for documenting and disseminating SRHR Next programme results to SRHR Next partners and other stakeholders.
• Support to carry out analyses, critical evaluations, and interpretations of qualitative and quantitative data and apply techniques appropriate to the programme.
• Provide support in developing a prioritized SRHR Alliance learning agenda.
• Train and provide technical assistance to SRHR Alliance programs and SRHR Next partners on the development and implementation of effective MEAL strategies/initiatives
• Contribute to the development, documentation, and dissemination of cross-country lessons learned, best practices, and experience.
• Ensure timely submission of project reports and other deliverables as specified in the grant.
• Translate technical information (such as research findings and regulatory decisions) for non-technical policymakers and advocates.
• Monitor the progress of the Alliance processes related to MEAL and advise the Alliance accordingly.
• Ensure baseline, midterm, and end line evaluation requirements and recommendations are met
• Represent the Alliance as the SRHR Next programme lead in various national and global working groups and platforms.
• Perform any other duty assigned to them by SRHR Alliance Kenya

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s is an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in MEAL/PMEL, project implementation, data management, or development programmes.
• Experience working with relevant government agencies, communities, and youth.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights environment and HIV/AIDS in the country
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills
• Strong facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated a high level of professionalism. Advanced skills in design, implementation and quality assurance throughout the data collection process and specifically software, such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, CommCare and others as relevant.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Experience in communicating and coordinating with a variety of partners
• Prepared to frequently travel to the project sites in Kenya.
