Marketing Executive

Job description

Scion Hospital is seeking a proactive, energetic and results-driven Marketing Executive to join our Mwiki Branch team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving community engagement, increasing patient numbers, developing referral networks and promoting hospital services to grow the branch\'s market presence and revenue.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about field marketing, networking, sales and community mobilisation, with the ability to turn marketing activities into measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field marketing and community outreach activities within Mwiki and surrounding areas.
• Identify and establish relationships with SACCOs, chamas, churches, schools, businesses, community groups and other local institutions.
• Promote Scion Hospital services, including outpatient, maternity, laboratory, pharmacy and other specialised services.
• Develop referral networks with local businesses, pharmacies, community leaders and healthcare providers.
• Organise community health awareness campaigns, wellness activations and medical outreach programmes.
• Identify and pursue corporate and institutional business opportunities, including staff medical check-ups and wellness programmes.
• Generate new patient leads and implement initiatives to increase patient attendance and repeat visits.
• Conduct market intelligence activities to identify competitors, customer needs and emerging business opportunities.
• Support digital marketing activities, including social media engagement and community-based promotional campaigns.
• Maintain daily field activity records and submit weekly reports detailing visits, leads generated, partnerships established and business conversions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Marketing, Sales and Marketing or Business Administration.
• Alternatively, a Certificate in Marketing or Sales with at least 1–2 years of relevant field marketing experience.
• Practical experience in community marketing, outreach programmes, SACCO membership recruitment and sales, FMCG field sales or direct sales.
• Experience in market penetration, customer acquisition, lead generation and relationship management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with social media marketing.
• Must be proactive, self-driven, target-oriented and comfortable working in the field.

Added Advantage

• Experience in healthcare marketing, pharmaceutical sales, insurance sales, microfinance or community mobilisation.

What We Are Looking For

• The ideal candidate must be a confident and persuasive communicator who can comfortably approach people, visit institutions, build community networks and generate business opportunities.
• We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously worked in SACCO sales, FMCG distribution, direct sales or community outreach roles and can demonstrate their ability to acquire customers and deliver sales targets.
• This is a field-oriented position. Candidates must be willing to spend significant time engaging communities and developing business opportunities rather than working exclusively from an office.
