Litho Supervisor

Job description

Job summary We are seeking an experienced Litho Supervisor to oversee lithographic printing operations within our printing and packaging production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising litho printing teams, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring efficient operation of printing equipment. The role requires strong technical knowledge of lithographic printing processes as well as the ability to manage and motivate a production team. Key responsibilities Supervise and coordinate lithographic printing operations on the production floorEnsure printing quality standards are maintained according to customer specificationsMonitor production schedules and ensure deadlines and targets are metProvide technical support and guidance to litho machine operators and assistantsTroubleshoot printing issues related to colour, registration, and print qualityEnsure correct machine setup, plate mounting, and ink controlMonitor material usage and reduce wastage during productionEnsure compliance with health and safety procedures and PPE requirementsConduct quality checks during print runsMaintain accurate production records and reportingAssist with training and development of litho staffWork closely with production management and other departments to ensure smooth workflowSkills and experience required Proven experience as a Litho supervisor or senior Lithographic printer in the printing or packaging industryStrong knowledge of lithographic printing processes and equipmentExperience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environmentExcellent understanding of colour control, print registration, and quality standardsAbility to troubleshoot printing and machine issuesStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to work under pressure and tight production deadlinesGood communication and organisational skillsStrong focus on quality, efficiency, and safetyMinimum requirements 10 years’ experience in lithographic printing (packaging industry preferred)Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a printing environmentKnowledge of production planning and workflow management
