## Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and visionary Learning Support Lead to provide leadership for our inclusive education programme. They will oversee the implementation of learning support services, coordinate Individual Education Plans (IEPs), mentor Learning Support Teachers and ensure that learners with diverse educational needs receive high-quality, holistic support within the Waldorf educational approach.

### Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the Learning Support Department.

- Develop and implement the school’s Inclusion and Learning Support strategy.

- Supervise, mentor, and appraise Learning Support Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

- Develop departmental policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

- Coordinate screening, identification, assessment, and placement of learners requiring support.

- Oversee the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

- Assist teachers in developing differentiated lesson plans and assessments.

- Ensure appropriate accommodations and curriculum modifications are implemented.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Education, Inclusive Education, or a closely related education field.

- Registered teacher with the relevant professional body (Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya).

- Minimum five (5) years of successful experience in Special Needs or Inclusive Education.

- Minimum two (2) years in a leadership or coordination role within a learning support department.
