Key Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel to management on business and operational matters. Draft, review, and interpret contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Manage legal correspondence and documentation effectively. Represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary. Advise on employment, commercial, regulatory, and compliance issues. Identify and manage legal risks, recommending practical solutions. Coordinate with external lawyers, regulators, and relevant stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive records of legal documents and agreements. Support dispute resolution and debt recovery processes as needed.

Qualifications

and Experience Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized institution. Admission to the Zambian Bar is an advantage. Valid Practicing Certificate where applicable. Minimum of three years’ legal experience. Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory law. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Proficiency in legal research and computer skills. Personal Attributes Honest, reliable, and professional conduct. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Confident in providing well-grounded legal advice. Ability to perform effectively under pressure. Excellent problem-solving capabilities. Commitment to protecting the company’s legal interests.
