## Job Description

Medical Jobs, Meditest Diagnostic Jobs. Laboratory Technician performs diagnostic clinical laboratory testing, requires a Degree/Diploma in Medical Lab Sciences, valid KMLTTB license, and 2–3 years clinical lab experience. Full-time role in Nairobi.

### Responsibilities

- Receives or obtains specimens for Laboratory analysis

- Labels bottles, containers, tubes, sample with relevant information including Lab number.

- Performs various tests as stipulated or required by the department

- Maintains departmental equipment and carry out the daily routine maintenance required as per the guidelines of each equipment and as per the SOPs.

- Records lab tests results and may assist in research and technical activities.

- Transcribing materials, filing and maintaining all laboratory files.

- Keys in lab tests and results into the system.

- Prepare requisition forms and record of specimen at specimen receiving point.

- Coordinates with other departments for smooth running of the Lab where applicable

- Perform daily quality checks, and evaluate the result to ensure the analyzers and reagents are in good working condition before beginning of the day.

- Assists in method validations

- Preparation and reconstitution of reagents for use and any other duties assigned to you by management.

Requirements

- Degree/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.

- Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and

- Technologists Board (KMLTTB).

- Minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience in a clinical laboratory setting (preferably in a busy or accredited facility).
