## Job Description

International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks an Officier WASH based in Muyinga, Burundi, to oversee corrective and rehabilitation work on a drinking-water supply system. The officer will supervise contractors and site quality, document progress and problems, and work with local authorities and water-point committees on management and long-term maintenance. ## Requirements

University degree (at least Bac+3/Licence) in civil engineering, rural engineering, hydraulics, environmental science or a related field. Three to five years of relevant experience implementing or supervising drinking-water supply construction or rehabilitation, including gravity-fed networks. Practical hydraulic works and community water-management experience are required. Excellent written and spoken French and knowledge of local Kirundi are required.
