We're looking for an Insurance Accountant who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and delivering financial information that people can trust. About the role: You'll play an important role in ensuring the financial integrity of our insurance businesses by delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting statutory and regulatory compliance. Working closely with the Financial Manager and a variety of internal stakeholders, you'll help produce meaningful financial information that supports both operational excellence and strategic decision-making. Some of what you'll be doing includes: Preparing month-end journals, reconciliations and financial reportsProducing accurate management accounts and financial reportingSupporting the preparation of IFRS-compliant annual financial statementsAssisting with audits and regulatory reportingPreparing VAT and income tax calculationsManaging partner-related financial reporting and settlementsIdentifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controlsWorking collaboratively across finance and operational teamsAbout you: You're someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity and accuracy to every detail. Requirements

You'll be a great fit if you have: Minimum requirements BCom accounting degree (or equivalent)Completed SAICA or SAIPA ArticlesExperience in financial accounting and month-end reportingExperience preparing reconciliations and financial reportsWorking knowledge of VAT and income taxSound understanding of IFRSAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience using ERP or accounting systemsIt'll be a bonus if you have: 2–5 years' post-articles experienceExperience within insurance or financial servicesBudgeting and forecasting experienceExperience preparing IFRS annual financial statementsExposure to Acumatica ERPWhy join Dotsure?
