VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ SAINT JOHN OF of GOD HOSPITALLER SERVICES MALAWI POSITION: INSTITUTE OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING COORDINATORLocation: MzuzuABOUT THE ROLESaint John of God Hospitaller Services Malawi is a non-profit, faith-based healthcare organization established in 1994 to contribute to the development of health services for all Malawians, including the most vulnerable, marginalized, and excluded groups. With operations in Lilongwe and Mzuzu, the organization is a key provider of tertiary and community-based mental health services, early intervention, inclusive education for children with disabilities, vocational training, elderly care, psychosocial support, rehabilitation services, and university-level training in health-related disciplines.The Institute of Vocational Training Coordinator will report to the Programs Manager and provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Institute of Vocational Training. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of vocational training programmes, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders, including TEVETA and the Ministry of Labour.KEY REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Technical Education or a related field from a recognized institutionA Master's Degree in a related field will be an added advantageMinimum of three (3) years' work experience in a leadership or supervisory position within a vocational training, education, or related institutionDemonstrated knowledge of vocational education and training systemsExperience working with TEVETA, the Ministry of Labour, and other regulatory bodies will be an added advantageStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational, planning, and report-writing abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamAbility to engage, collaborate, and maintain positive working relationships with community leadership structuresKEY RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate and oversee vocational training programmesDevelop and monitor training plans, schedules, and activitiesCoordinate trainers and ensure effective delivery of training programmesMonitor trainee attendance, progress, assessments, and completionLiaise with relevant stakeholders and industry partnersEnsure training programmes meet appropriate quality and professional standardsPrepare training reports and maintain accurate programme recordsHOW TO APPLYInterested candidates meeting the requirements mentioned above should send their application letters with Curriculum Vitae stating at least three traceable referees with email addresses and mobile phone numbers to:The Chief Executive OfficerP.O.
