## Job Description

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) seeks an individual consultant to lead financial management for the African Development Bank-funded Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) programme. Based on site in Ibadan, the specialist will oversee budgeting, accounting, internal controls, treasury, financial reporting, audits and supervision of the programme finance team. The initial assignment is one year, expected to begin in January 2027, with renewal subject to performance and funding. Expressions of interest are due 21 October 2026. ## Requirements

Required: full membership of a recognized accounting body such as CA, CPA, ACCA or CGMA; a master’s degree in accounting, business or public administration, or related social sciences; at least 10 years of post-qualification experience, including four years in a related role, preferably on donor-funded projects. The employer also seeks knowledge of financial reporting standards, donor disbursement, budgeting and accounting software, plus readiness for extensive field visits. Oracle accounting knowledge is an advantage.
