Job description

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) seeks a Project Superintendent at its headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State. The superintendent will lead on-site construction teams, coordinate new building and major renovation work, monitor safety and quality, track materials and budgets, and maintain project records.

Eligibility: IITA seeks Nigerian nationals. Location and arrangement: Ibadan, Nigeria; on site. Contract: three years, renewable. Closing date: 19 October 2026; no exact cut-off time is stated. IITA describes remuneration as competitive but does not give an amount.

Requirements

HND or BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field, plus at least eight years of relevant construction project supervision, site management or project execution experience in a structured organisation. Strong project coordination, team leadership, safety and quality management, problem-solving and written and spoken English.
