## Job Description

IITA is hiring a Laboratory Supervisor for its nematode research activities at the institute’s Ibadan headquarters in Oyo State, Nigeria. This on-site position is a six-month renewable contract for suitable Nigerian nationals. The supervisor will extract and identify nematodes, maintain crops and cultures in the screen house and field, use microscopes for diagnostics, and collect, validate and protect laboratory and field data. ## Requirements

BSc or HND in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Plant Science, Crop Science or a related field, plus two years of relevant practical field and laboratory experience in a structured organisation. IITA asks for nematode identification and microscopy skills, ability to maintain laboratory equipment and follow standard operating procedures, research or survey experience, data collection knowledge, and good communication.
