Job description
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is recruiting a Heavy Equipment Supervisor at its headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. This is an on-site, three-year renewable contract for suitable Nigerian nationals.
The supervisor will coordinate equipment maintenance assignments, schedule preventive maintenance and safety checks, inspect and troubleshoot earth-moving equipment, trucks and other machinery, support repairs, maintain equipment and spare-part records, and supervise section staff.

Requirements
HND or a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus at least four years of relevant heavy equipment operations, maintenance or supervision experience. Experience repairing and overhauling earth-moving equipment, heavy trucks, generators and tractors. Team leadership, communication, troubleshooting, ability to work under pressure, and spoken and written English. Nigerian nationality is required by the employer.
