The role is based at the Head Office in Blantyre.Position: Human Resources ManagerLocation: Head Office – BlantyreReporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Job PurposeThe Human Resource Manager is responsible for leading and managing all HR functions for Epay Mobile Money to support organizational effectiveness and growth. The role ensures strong HR governance, talent development, employee engagement, and compliance with labor laws while acting as a strategic partner to leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectivesAdvise senior management on workforce planning, structure, and people strategyLead organizational development and change management initiativesTalent Acquisition & ManagementOversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention strategiesManage performance management systems and appraisal processesIdentify training needs and implement learning & development programsSupport succession planning and leadership developmentEmployee Relations & EngagementManage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary processesPromote a positive workplace culture and high employee engagementEnsure fair, consistent, and transparent HR practicesHR Operations & PoliciesDevelop, review, and enforce HR policies and proceduresOversee HR records, contracts, payroll coordination, and benefits administrationEnsure accuracy and confidentiality of employee dataCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practicesManage audits, inspections, and statutory requirementsMitigate HR-related risks and ensure ethical workplace practicesPerformance, Rewards & Payroll SupportSupport compensation structures, salary reviews, and incentivesWork with finance on payroll accuracy and complianceBenchmark roles and remuneration against market standardsTeam Leadership & ReportingLead and mentor HR staffPrepare HR reports, dashboards, and metrics for management decision-makingKey Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fieldHe or She should be above 30 years of age3-5 years of progressive experience in operations, with demonstrable exposure to human resources management ideally.Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent).Proven experience managing HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with local labour law.Experienced people manager with a track record of building high-performing teams, delivering results through others, and establishing strong management systems and processes.Collaborative management style with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where success requires adaptability and a significant degree of learning by doing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools.Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practicesKey Skills & CompetenciesStrategic thinking and people leadershipStrong communication and conflict resolution skillsHigh integrity and confidentialityPerformance management and coachingPolicy development and complianceHR analytics and reportingMETHOD OF APPLICATION Interested candidates should submit their application letter, updated Curriculum Vitae (CV), and copies of relevant certificates to: mmatemba@epay.mw Closing Date31st July 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
