Job description

The Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) a body corporate and responsible for regulation of public procurement in Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment into the ZPPA’s staff establishment in the following position:

JOB TITLE: HELP DESK OFFICER (3 POSITIONS)

PURPOSE

Respond to and resolve client queries and provide customer support related to the operations of the e-GP System.

STATEMENT OF MAIN DUTIES

Under the overall direction and guidance of the Manager – e-GP, the job holders will specifically perform the following duties among others:

•  Receive and respond to client queries to determine solutions and resolve client queries;
• Attend to client queries received through the ZPPA on-line platforms such as Facebook;
• Maintain centralized helpdesk tickets to track customer complaints and provide solutions to problems raised by users using the Customer Relation Manager software;
• Prepare weekly Report for helpdesk tickets and solutions handled; and
• Performs other lawful duties assigned by superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) credits or better including English and Mathematics;
• Vocational or Professional Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement and Supply or Marketing; and
• Experience in Customer Service will be an added advantage.

OTHER SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Good writing and ability to communicate effectively with clients to provide support on the e-GP System; and
• Ability to comprehend system reports and prepare reports.

TENURE

The position of Help Desk Officer is on temporary basis of employment.
