OVERVIEWIllovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is the country's leading producer of raw, refined and specialty sugars; employing more than 9,000 employees. Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group; a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc (ABF).KEY REQUIREMENTSMalawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).Valid driving license – Class C1.Minimum of 2 years work experience.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperate mobile cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and statutory regulations.Conduct daily pre-use inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.Lift, move, position, and place loads within the crane's rated capacity and approved lifting plans.Set up cranes safely, including the correct use of outriggers and site stability assessments.Work closely with riggers, signalers, and supervisors to ensure safe lifting operations.Complete required operational, inspection, and maintenance records accurately.Ensure proper care, cleanliness, and basic maintenance of assigned equipment.Immediately report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and equipment faults.Promote and adhere to Illovo's procedures, policies, and guidelines, including without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Follow Safety measures from time to time.HOW TO APPLYPlease send your application letters together with detailed CV with copies of relevant certificates, traceable referees and National ID to:By Post:The Human Resource Mill HeadIllovo Sugar (Malawi) plcPrivate Bag 50Blantyre, MalawiBy Email: nchalohr@illovo.co.zaClosing Date: 18th September 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be acknowledged.Illovo is an equal opportunity employer, and women are encouraged to apply.
