JOB SUMMARY: The Head Teacher will serve as the chief academic and administrative leader of Risechamp Pre and Primary School. The ideal candidate will shape a vision of academic success, foster a nurturing and disciplined learning environment, manage day-to-day school operations, and lead both teaching and support staff to achieve excellence. Department: Administration Reports To: School Board / School Manager / School Director KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Academic Leadership: Oversee the development, implementation, and review of the school curriculum, ensuring adherence to national educational frameworks and international best practices. Staff Supervision: Manage, mentor, and evaluate the performance of teaching and non-teaching staff; coordinate continuous professional development workshops. Student Welfare & Discipline: Maintain high standards of student behavior, safety, and academic discipline across all classes. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the school administration, parents, regulatory bodies (Ministry of Education), and the surrounding community. Financial & Resource Oversight: Collaborate with the Finance Department to manage school budgets, educational resources, and institutional growth planning. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Management, or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a senior school leadership position (Headmaster/Headmistress/Academic Master). Deep understanding of the Tanzanian educational system, regulations, and compliance guidelines. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
