Responsibilities
The Role
We're looking for a Head of Performance Marketing to own paid acquisition at CloudTalk. You'll report directly to our CMO and manage a €5M annual budget across Google, Bing, Meta, Reddit, and any other channel that earns its place in the mix.
This is a player-coach role, not a pure management seat. You'll lead one senior PPC specialist, but you'll also be in the accounts yourself: building campaigns, writing ad copy, testing landing pages, and pressure-testing bids. We need someone senior enough to set the strategy and junior enough at heart to still enjoy doing the work.
The metric that matters here isn't MQL volume. It's ROAS against SQL value: how much pipeline value each euro of spend actually generates once a lead becomes a qualified opportunity, not just a form fill.
What You'll Own
Paid Media Strategy & Execution: Own paid campaigns end-to-end across Google, Bing, Meta, Reddit, and other platforms, from strategy and budget allocation down to bid management, ad copy, and creative testing. You're building the campaigns yourself, not only reviewing someone else's work.
The €5M Budget: Allocate and defend a €5M yearly budget across channels and campaigns. You'll decide where the next euro goes based on what's actually producing SQL value, and you'll be ready to explain that decision to the CMO in plain numbers.
ROAS Against SQL Value: Build and defend a model that ties spend to SQL value, so every campaign decision answers the same question: is this generating pipeline worth more than it costs?
Coaching, Hands-On: Lead and develop one senior PPC specialist.Set direction, review their work, and help them grow, while staying hands-on in the accounts yourself. This is a two-person team that executes together, not a manager overseeing from a distance.
Tracking & Attribution: Own the analytics and tracking layer behind every campaign decision. Work daily in Dreamdata to connect ad spend to pipeline and revenue, and make sure our tracking setup (conversions, UTMs, attribution models) holds up to scrutiny.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Sales, RevOps, and the wider Marketing team to close the loop between spend and revenue, and report performance and recommendations directly to the CMO.
Requirements
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Hands-on paid media experience in B2B SaaS, with a track record of managing budgets at a comparable scale (multiple millions annually)
- Deep, current expertise across Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Meta Ads, and Reddit Ads (or similar paid social platforms), not just familiarity from a few years back
- Proven experience optimizing for pipeline and revenue metrics such as SQL value, pipeline generated, or ROAS on revenue, not just MQL count or cost-per-lead
- Strong background in website analytics and tracking, with hands-on experience in Dreamdata or a comparable B2B revenue attribution platform
- A genuine player-coach mindset: you want to mentor a specialist and still build campaigns yourself, not step back from execution once you have a direct report
- Business Fluent English (must have)
- Comfortable in the data: GA4, spreadsheets, or BI tools, and confident pulling your own insights without waiting on an analyst
