The company has vacancies at its Rumphi Project Site: Job Title : Grader OperatorDuty Station : RumphiNature of Contract : Fixed Term 12 MonthsReporting to : Site Manager/Plant & Workshop ManagerDepartment : WorkshopJob SummaryThe Grader Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining motor graders used in construction, roadworks, and earthmoving projects. The operator ensures accurate grading, leveling, and shaping of surfaces according to project specifications while observing all safety procedures and operational standards.Duties & Responsibilities• Operate motor graders safely and efficiently on construction or maintenance sites. • Perform grading, leveling, spreading, and shaping of materials such as soil, gravel, and asphalt. • Maintain road surfaces, drainage systems, and site preparation works. • Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions. • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report defects or maintenance needs. • Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and stored after use. • Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times. • Work closely with supervisors, surveyors, and other machine operators. • Monitor fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, and machine performance. • Keep accurate records of machine usage and maintenance activities. Qualifications and Requirements• Minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent. • Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license. • Proven experience operating a motor grader in construction, mining, or road maintenance projects. • Good understanding of grading techniques and machine controls. • Ability to read basic construction drawings and instructions. • Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments.Key Competencies• Compliance with road traffic regulations• Safe reversing and maneuvering techniques• Completing delivery notes and logbooks• Daily vehicle inspection reporting• Trip and fuel record management• Attention to detail • Time management • Awareness of overload and cargo securement regulations• Understanding of environmental and site compliance rules • Team collaboration on construction • Integrity and accountabilityInterested candidates who have met the above requirements should send their applications together with certified copies of certificates and CVs to the address that is convenient, no later than 2nd October 2026: Email: hr@hejackson.com Postal Address: The Head of Human Resource H.E.
