## Job Description

A well-established and successful Print and Label manufacturing business is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to take responsibility for the strategic direction and overall performance of its Cape Town operation.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven manufacturing executive to lead an established operation, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, sustainable growth and profitability.

Key responsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and overall management of the business.Drive operational performance, productivity, profitability, quality and customer service excellence.Develop and implement business strategies aligned with organizational objectives.Lead and mentor a high-performing management team, fostering accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.Oversee manufacturing, sales, commercial, supply chain, finance and support functions.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and business partners.Identify new business and growth opportunities.Take responsibility for financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure and cost optimization.Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, health and safety and quality requirements.Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations Management, Business Management or a related field, or relevant RPL.Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA will be advantageous.Minimum 10 years' senior management experience within a manufacturing environment.Experience in label printing, packaging, printing, converting or FMCG manufacturing will be highly advantageous.Strong commercial and financial acumen, including responsibility for budgets and profitability.Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.Sound knowledge of labour legislation, health and safety and quality management systems.Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.The Ideal Candidate
