### CHOPPIES – JOB VACANCY

Job Title: Fruit and Veg Assistant Location: Makeni Bonaventure, Lusaka, Zambia Closing Date: 22 October 2026

### Responsibilities

To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service.

- 

Set up attractive displays to encourage customer purchases.

- 

Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labelled.

- 

Conduct daily stock counts and report shortages.

- 

Dispose of spoiled produce responsibly and record wastage.

- 

Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying quality against supplier invoices.

- 

Help prepare special displays for seasonal fruits and vegetables.

- 

Provide information on storage, preparation, and nutritional value of produce.

- 

Follow workplace safety rules when handling crates, knives, or cleaning equipment.

- 

Maintain logs of stock rotation, cleaning schedules, and quality checks.

- 

Support colleagues in other departments when needed.

### Education and Experience

- 

High school diploma or equivalent.

- 

Food handlers’ certification and food production certification.

- 

1–2 years of experience in fruit and vegetable production.

- 

Basic knowledge of food preparation.

- 

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- 

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.

- 

Candidates should be medically fit.

### Skills, Abilities and Requirements

- 

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

- 

Must be able to stay calm and focused.

- 

Interpersonal skills.

- 

Supervisory skills, including the ability to train employees to use time efficiently and maintain high standards of service delivery.

### Additional Requirements

Physical Examination Required: Medical Report and Police Clearance.
