## Job Description

Are you a passionate Junior Frontend Developer looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a talented and driven Junior Frontend Developer (React) to join their growing technology team in a hybrid role based in Johannesburg.

This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who enjoys building responsive, user-friendly web applications and wants to grow their skills within a collaborative and innovative environment. You’ll work closely with experienced developers and contribute to the development and enhancement of modern digital solutions.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS through academic, personal, or professional projects

- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and modern software development tools

- Exposure to Agile development methodologies

- Interest in financial markets, trading systems, or data-intensive applications

- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or container technologies such as Docker

- Use of AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, or learning

- A minimum of 2 years of software development experience

- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)

- Understanding of software development fundamentals including object-oriented programming, testing, and version control

- Interest in distributed systems, data processing, and high-performance applications

### What you’ll be doing

- Contributing to the development of a real-time financial derivative pricing platform

- Building and maintaining software components across the application stack

- Working with experienced engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy new features

- Learning how complex pricing and market data models are translated into software solutions

- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

- Participating in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical discussions

- Supporting the monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of applications

- Using modern development tools, including AI-assisted engineering tools, to improve productivity and code quality

Reference Number for this position is GZ61495 which is a permanent  position based in Sandton offering a salary of R600k per annum, negotiable based on experience and ability.
