## Job Description

OVERVIEWWe are looking for a mature, highly experienced and dependable individual to join our team as a Financial Controller. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with the ability to independently oversee the financial operations of multiple businesses.They should be self-motivated, organised, trustworthy and capable of exercising sound financial judgement while carrying out their responsibilities with minimal supervision.Application Deadline: Wednesday, 14th October 2026POSITION: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (ACCOUNTANT)JOB TYPE: Full TimeKEY REQUIREMENTSQualification & Experience Required:At least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in accounting and financial management.Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ICAM will be a strong advantage.Candidates must have a thorough understanding of Malawian taxation and statutory requirements, excellent Microsoft Excel skills, and proficiency in recognised accounting software.Previous experience managing the accounts of multiple businesses will be an added advantage.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOverseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities across multiple businesses.Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts.Managing cash flow, budgets, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable.Ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax obligations, including VAT, PAYE and withholding tax.Maintaining accurate financial records, general ledgers and accounting systems.Monitoring expenditure, financial performance and profitability across the businesses.Preparing financial reports and providing financial advice to management.Establishing and maintaining effective internal financial controls and accounting procedures.Overseeing payroll administration and ensuring timely processing of financial obligations.HOW TO APPLYSend your CV and Cover Letter to:Email: soldbydvmi@gmail.comINCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE IGNORED.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
