Financial Audit Intern participating in audit planning, substantive testing and evaluation of internal controls, requiring a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance), Accounting or Finance with First Class or Second Class Upper Honours and strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards, in an audit firm environment, on-site role. Application Requirements - A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Accounting, Finance or an equivalent relevant field. - First Class Honours or Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in the relevant undergraduate degree. - Must have completed all degree requirements and either graduated or be awaiting formal graduation. - Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and auditing standards. - Excellent numerical, analytical, report-writing and documentation skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting or audit tools. - 1-2 years of relevant practical experience in external audit, internal audit, accounting or financial reporting will be a strong advantage. - Progress towards CPA(K) qualification, particularly completion of relevant professional examination stages, will be an added advantage. ### Key Responsibilities - Participate in audit planning, risk assessments and execution of audit procedures. - Perform substantive testing and verification of financial transactions, balances and supporting documentation. - Evaluate internal controls and assess compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. - Prepare complete and well-organised audit working papers. - Assist in identifying financial reporting risks, control weaknesses and potential irregularities. - Support the preparation of audit findings, management letters and audit reports. - Apply relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) in audit assignments. ### How to Apply Send your CV, application letter and academic credentials to careers@zadeassociates.co.ke ## Requirements Apply by email: careers@zadeassociates.co.ke ## Apply Use the canonical Prime Job Alerts page for full application instructions and source verification.
