## Job Description

Job Purpose

To support the Finance & Inventory Management function with day-to-day accounting, reconciliation, and stock-related administrative tasks, gaining practical exposure to financial and inventory operations within a large-scale agribusiness over a structured 3-month internship.

### Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily posting and reconciliation of financial transactions and petty cash records.

- Support preparation of invoices, payment vouchers, and supplier/customer statements.

- Assist in data entry and reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Help maintain accurate, up-to-date financial and accounting records and filing systems, physical and digital.

- Support month-end close activities and stock-take exercises.

- Assist in reconciling inventory records against financial/stock valuation reports.

- Receive, inspect and document incoming goods, materials and supplies delivered to the farm store.

- Verify quantities and specifications of received items against purchase orders, delivery notes and other supporting documents.

- Assist in issuing materials and supplies against approved requisitions or authorized requests.

- Maintain accurate stock cards, bin cards, inventory registers and records of stock receipts, issues, returns and transfers.

- Support proper storage, identification, arrangement and organization of materials within the store/warehouse.

- Conduct routine physical stock counts and participate in periodic stock-takes; report discrepancies and assist with reconciliations.

- Assist in monitoring stock levels and identifying items requiring replenishment, as well as documenting damaged, expired, obsolete or slow-moving stock.

- Assist with statutory compliance tasks (e.g., filing support for PAYE, NSSF, SHA) under supervision.

- Provide general administrative support to the Finance & Inventory Management function as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

- Kenyan National.

- Recent graduate/diploma or degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, Inventory Management, or a related field.

- Basic knowledge of accounting principles; proficiency in MS Excel and exposure to accounting, ERP or inventory management software is an advantage.

- Prior exposure to storekeeping, inventory management, warehouse operations or stock control is strongly preferred for the Finance & Storekeeping/Inventory position. This may include internship, attachment or practical experience.

- Demonstrable ability to receive, record, issue, count and reconcile stock/inventory is an advantage.

- No prior work experience required for the Finance-focused position; this is an entry-level, learning-focused role.

- Good communication skills in English.

- Willingness to work between the finance office and farm store/warehouse as required.

Internship Terms

- Duration: 3 months, fixed-term, non-renewable unless a permanent opening is identified and separately advertised.

- Structured internship with defined learning objectives and regular supervisor check-ins.

- Standard farm office working hours, Monday–Saturday as per the farm’s operating schedule.

Working Conditions

Based at the farm’s administrative offices in Kajiado; primarily desk-based with regular coordination visits to the warehouse/store during stock-takes.
