Headquartered in Seoul, Republic of Korca, Good Neighbors implements various humanitarian and community development programmes across several sectors, including Health, Education, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); Agriculture, Social Welfare, Child Rights Advocacy, Livelihood Development, and Emergency Response.GN Malawi is currently implementing the Project for Strengthening Food Crisis Response and Community Resilience through Livelihood Support in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, MalawiIn order to eificiently and effectively implement the project and fulfil its Programme objectives, Good Neighbors Malawi is inviting applications from suitably qualified, competent, and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position of Field Officer under the Project for Food Crisis Response and Community Strengthening through Livelihood Support in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Malawi.Job Title: Field OfficerLocation: Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Dowa District MalawiReporting Line: KOICA HDP-N Field Manager (FM), Project Manager (PM), and Technical Manager (TM)Job PurposeThe Field Officer (FO) will support the Field Manager (FM) in implementing day-to-day agricultural and community-based fild activities under the KOICA HDP-N Project. The FO will actively participate in mobilizing beneficiaries, facilitating trainings, supporting agricultural infrastructure activities, monitoring field progress, and collecting data.The role contributes to improving food production, strengthening agricultural skills, and promoting peaceful coexistence between refugees and host communities.The Field Officer will be based in or near Dzaleka Refugee Camp and will work closely with the Field Manager, Project Manager, Technical Manager, and other project partners including community leaders, and beneficiary groups 1o ensure that all field activities are implemented effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with project timelines and local conditions.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Agricultural Production & Infrastructure SupportAssist in mobilizing refugee and host community beneficiaries for the establishment and allocation of farming plots.Support the Field Manager and extension workers in monitoring irrigation infrastructure, reporting maintenance needs, and coordinating repairs.Facilitate the distribution of agricultural inputs (seeds, fertilizers, tools) and maintain accurate distribution records.Support the delivery of farmer trainings on posi-harvest handling, pest management, and food safety.Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop progress, identify basic risks (pest oulbreaks, diseases, drought eflects). and report them to the Field Manager for further action.2. Agricultural Capacity BuildingAssist in organizing and conducting agriculture capacity building trainings and Training of-Trainer (ToT) sessions for Lead Farmers in collaboration with the Dowa Agriculture Extension Service and other relevant technical stakeholdersSupport HDP-N farming club operations, including mobilization, recordkeeping, demonstration plot management, and coordination of group learning activities.Facilitate HDP-N farming club members to local markets and input suppliers, ensuring improved access to extension services and financial inclusion.Support the coordination of produce aggregation and market linkage activities, including quality checks and logistical arrangementsPromote adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices through continuous field-level coaching and demonstrations under FM guidance.3. Monitoring, Documentation, and ReportingCollect routine field data on crop performance, attendance, training participation, input distribution, and production outputs.Conduct beneficiary follow-ups and support the Field Manager in identifying challenges, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.Assist the DME team during midline, endline, and routine monitoring exercises.Document field observations, beneficiary feedback, success stories, and lessons learned.Prepare weekly and monthly field activity summaries and submit them to the Field Manager for consolidation.4. Stakeholder CoordinationEngage regularly with community leaders, agricultural extension workers, HDP-N committees, and beneficiaries to facilitate smooth implementation.Represent the project at community meetings and field coordination discussions when delegated by the Field Manager.Maintain positive working relationships with partner stakeholders, including government agriculture departments and community structures.5. Compliance, Safeguarding, and Quality AssuranceEnsure that all field activities follow organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and donor guidelines.Maintain respectful, transparent, and inclusive interactions with all beneficiaries, upholding protection and Do-No-Harm principlesReport any safeguarding concerns, incidents, or operational risks immediately to the Field Manager.6. Additional DutiesPerform any other duties assigned by the line managers and Country Director within agreed deadlines and with high professional standards.Provide temporary support to other project components during peak periods or staff absences, as required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREDEducational Requirements.Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Extension, or a closely related field.Experience.At least 3 years of field-based experience in implementing agricultural development or food security projects.Experience in training and working directly with smallholder farmers, especially in humanitarian or refugee settings.Strong technical knowledge in smallholder farming systems, post-harrest practices, and sustainable agriculture.Fluency in English and Chichewa (spoken and written).How to ApplyInterested candidates meeting the qualifications should submit their applications via email and complete the questionnaires through the link provided below by Tuesday, 15 September, 2026.Please include a detailed Curriculum Vitae, Cover letter, Copies of certificates and the names of three fraceable referees.
