About the Farm Supervisor Role The Farm Supervisor will play a vital role in overseeing daily farm activities across Rock Farms. Candidates will be responsible for supervising planting, cultivation, irrigation, harvesting, and animal care, ensuring all operations run smoothly and meet quality standards. This full-time position requires a hands-on leader who can manage resources effectively while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
for Farm Supervisor Jobs in Chipata Manage daily farm operations, including crop production and livestock care. Supervise planting, irrigation, pest control, fertilization, and harvesting activities. Monitor livestock health, feeding, breeding, and welfare. Maintain accurate records of farm inputs, production, and sales. Prepare detailed reports on farm performance, yields, and expenses. Train and supervise farm workers to optimize task allocation and productivity. Oversee maintenance of farm infrastructure, machinery, and irrigation systems. Assist with budgeting, cost control, and efficient resource utilization.
Qualifications
and Experience Required Grade 12 Certificate with strong passes in English, Mathematics, and Science. Certificate or Diploma in Crop Science, General Agriculture, or Animal Science (mandatory). At least 2 to 3 years of experience in farm supervision, preferably in mixed farming. Proven ability to manage both crop and livestock operations effectively. Experience supervising farm teams or workers.
