VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT@ AVRICO ESTATES LTD POSITION: FARM MANAGERLocation: LilongweABOUT THE ROLEAvrico Estates Ltd is seeking an experienced, practical, and hands-on Farm Manager to join our growing Hass avocado operation in Lilongwe, Malawi.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded agricultural professional to take ownership of the day-to-day management of farm operations and play an important role in developing a sustainable, efficient, and high-value horticulture enterprise.KEY REQUIREMENTSThe ideal candidate should have:- Strong practical farming experience in commercial agriculture- Proven leadership and team supervision skills- A genuine understanding of orchard management, crop nutrition, and soil health- Experience in avocado production, horticulture, or orchard management, which will be a strong advantage- The ability to manage irrigation systems, pest and disease management programmes, and farm infrastructure- Good record-keeping and reporting skills- A willingness to work closely with agronomy experts and implement recommended best practicesKEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Farm Manager will be responsible for:- Managing the day-to-day operations of the farm and avocado orchard- Monitoring tree health, growth, nutrition, and soil conditions- Managing irrigation and water systems- Planning and supervising fertiliser, pest, and disease management programmes- Overseeing land preparation, planting, pruning, and general orchard maintenance- Supervising, training, and developing the farm team- Maintaining accurate farm records and preparing regular progress reports- Working closely with agronomy experts to implement best farming practices- Managing farm equipment, materials, and infrastructure- Supporting the company's long-term commitment to sustainable and efficient farmingBENEFITSAvrico Estates Ltd offers:- Competitive salary- Rent-free accommodation on site- Free electricity and waterHOW TO APPLYInterested candidates should email their CV to:support@avricoestates.comPlease include the following information in your application:- A summary of your experience to date- Your current or most recent role- Your salary expectations- Your availability to start- Your WhatsApp phone number for contact Application Email: support@avricoestates.com Deadline: 2 September 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
