Facilities Operations Specialist

Job description

Requirements: Diploma or NQF level 6 qualification in management sciences or a related field.Minimum 3 years’ experience in property services or facilities management.Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management, procurement and vendor management.Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality control, facilities coordination and maintenance management.Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate and implement office relocations, moves and expansion projects.Coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and operation of building facilities and structures.Schedule and monitor general maintenance activities, including plumbing, waste disposal and air-conditioning.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure that required management approvals are obtained.Procure materials, services and supplies in accordance with organisational procurement procedures.Manage relationships with external vendors and ensure compliance with service level agreements.Inspect materials, goods and completed services to ensure they meet required quality standards.Process and verify invoices for goods and services received and completed.Assist with the development, testing and implementation of emergency drills and action plans.Ensure building operations and maintenance activities comply with OHS requirements and relevant regulations.Lead, supervise and support team members while coordinating facilities-related projects and operational activities.
