POSITION: EXCAVATOR / HEAVY-DUTY MECHANIC
Kuma Investments is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator / Heavy-Duty Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment at its operations in Chipata, Zambia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect, service and repair excavators and other heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
- Maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems and related components.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
- Maintain service records and report equipment defects.
- Observe workshop and site safety procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years of relevant heavy-duty mechanical experience.
- Practical experience maintaining or repairing excavators.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Relevant mechanical qualification or demonstrable technical competence.
- Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs safely.
Duty Station: Chipata, Zambia.
